MetroED-SCCOE Partnership Brings $207,000 to Expand Career Pathways Through CTE Summer Exploration
The Metropolitan Education District (MetroED) was awarded $207,000 to support its CTE Summer Exploration Program as part of a $1.98 million grant from the Bay Area Community College Consortium’s Round 8 K12 Strong Workforce Program. To meet regional workforce needs and expand economic mobility for students, the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) and six partner school districts, including MetroED, identified common priorities: upgrading labs, expanding programs, implementing new pathways, increasing early college credit, and providing industry certifications and work-based learning (WBL).
